New England Fall Road Trip (Part 3 - New Hampshire)

In October 2021 we set off on a two week road trip through New York and New England to view and photograph the famous fall foliage.

In this third installment of our New England Fall Photo Journal, we make our way through the historic state of New Hampshire.

Part 3: New Hampshire

Fall in New Hampshire is unlike any other. With the White Mountains National Forest spanning over 800,000 acres, there is vibrant fall color everywhere you look. Pair this with the awe-inspiring towns, old-time covered bridges, apple orchards dotting the map, and seemingly endless scenic drives and you have found yourself in a fall fairytale.

Thus far, we have highlighted the unexpected scenes of New York and Stowe Vermont so what exactly was on the top of our list for New Hampshire? Covered Bridges!

We weren’t exactly sure what our plans were at this point. We had already been on the road for almost a week and we had to make the decision of staying the night and seeing more of New Hampshire or driving through and moving on to Maine. Being that we were both very excited to get to the coast, we chose to make New Hampshire a day trip.

However, we couldn’t leave just yet, so we decided to squeeze in another hike. We both consider it to be one of our favorites from the entire trip. The trail was beautiful and there seemed to be a waterfall around every bend.

We spent a few hours enjoying the leaves, captured a few pictures, and carried on.

New Hampshire was beautiful and the White Mountains National Forest is something we plan to explore more of one day, but for now, come with us to an entirely new change of scenery!

Don’t miss Part Four where we pick up in Maine!

That’s it for now!

Catch ya in the next one.
